Our story – Blame it on the rain!

It all started with three friends, Patty Paschke, Kim Waikem and Lisa Beaufait, a few paddles, and a shared love for pickleball. One afternoon, as we rallied back and forth, the rain came and sent us running for cover. Undeterred, we found ourselves huddled around a table, drinks in hand, laughter echoing as we began to dream!

With our game on pause, creativity and excitement took over. Cocktail napkins became our canvas as we sketched logo ideas imagining a place where players of all levels could come together for great games and good times. Together, we committed to our concept. The planning began for a player’s paradise!

A year later, our journey took an exciting turn when our friend, RJ Vassas, caught the pickleball bug. His passion matched ours! He joined the adventure, bringing energy and ideas to our collective vision!

With our plan in hand, finding the perfect building wasn’t easy. We searched for a long time. Ceilings were either too low or it was too small, or it did match the entire vision. Never giving up, we wanted a winning space that felt just right for rookies and pros alike—a true player’s home for dinks, drinks, community, and competitive play. After plenty of patience and persistence, we finally found it!  The perfect spot to bring Hot Shots Pickleball Club to life.
